At 320 meters, exactly on the hill of Montalcino where the slope becomes more gentle, you will find the vineyard La Gerla. Since the beginning of the century, grapes from this ground were famous and wine was held in repute and demanded. The farm, bought in the 1970's by Sergio Rossi, has been restored with modern plants.

At La Gerla we look to quality; strong pruning, at the beginning of summer, the cut of the exceeding bunches of grapes, and at the vintage time the harvesting of the selected grapes. Everything here is close to human nature either to preserve traditions or to check every stage of production -- so as to transmit to products all that nature offers to us.
