The birth of Casa Vinicola Bersano began at the turn of the 1800's under the direction of Giuesppe Bersano. Bersano is a familiar Cantina as its products are widely sold through its home region of Piemonte. In 1935 with the blessing of the winery, Arturo Bersano became the winemaker.
Arturo Bersano was a lawyer by profession and family tradition but his great passion was the art of winemaking. Arturo is a pioneer and a man with great intuition. His strong moral values and work ethic have made him a perfectionist in attaining only the best quality of wines. The link between home and family evolved through Arturo and reinforces the strength of the quality in their single vineyard. Bersano's priority is that of top production and remains true to the Bersano name.
The acquisition of the vineyards in Nizza Monferrato came through the efforts of Arturo beginning with Barbera D'Asti and soon to follow Barolo, Barbaresco and Gavi. In more recent times completing the vineyards came with the acquisition of Brachetto and Moscatto.
