Wine Convention

Altanza began its story in 1998 as synonym of quality, dedicated exclusively, to top Reserva wines. Since then, our goal has been to offer the best quality wines at a competitive price.

Located in Fuenmayor (Rioja Alta), we are known for combining tradition and modernity.

Tradition is reflected in the beautiful main building of our winery and its French gardens. Also in the variety we have preferred for all our red wines, Tempranillo, the “queen” of Rioja autochthonous varieties and the most popular in Spain. The winemaker has also chosen certain traditional winemaking features, like the vertical presses or the extra value added to the ageing process by nine 22,000L Allier vats.

Our wines are made in a modern style from 100% Tempranillo grapes from our own vineyards. The wines are fermented using natural yeasts and then aged in French oak barrels which are renewed every 5 years.

Altanza is “the Art of sharing” in diverse wines, the aroma of our region and the flavour of our unique character.
