CHÂTEAU DE LAUBADE
SOUTHWEST, FRANCE

Château de Laubade

Over three generations, the Lesgourgues family has made Château de Laubade a benchmark for the Armagnac appellation. From the largest single estate vineyard in Bas Armagnac (260 acres), the 1870 established property, distils in its own “Armagnacais” column still the four traditional grapes varietals: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle Blanche. The brandies are aged separately, grape varietal by grape varietal, in Gascony oak barrels of 400 Liters.

The renowned premium quality of its production is made possible by a perfect control of every step of the Armagnac making processes.

Château de Laubade was awarded with more than 200 medals and rewards: Concours des Grandes eaux-de-vie d’Armagnac, Concours Général Agricole de Paris, Spirits Journal, World Spirits Awards, etc… The Intemporel N°5 was awarded « World Best Brandy » in San Francisco. Every year since 2010, Chateau de Laubade is the only Armagnac house granted « World Class Distillery » at the prestigious World Spirits Award competition.

Since 2014, Château de Laubade is one of the very first Armagnac houses to receive the prestigious distinction “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant”.

The Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label is a mark of recognition of the French State, put in place to reward French firms for the excellence of their traditional and industrial know-how.
