Vigneti del Vulture

The company was built on the ashes of a local Vinegrowers’ Association (Basilium), which struggled despite its high quality grapes. Nowadays at the new winery in the town of Acerenza, in the heart of the Aglianico del Vulture production area, they make top quality wines from selected vineyards that have all been certified organic. The key to success is all in the territory which is rich in minerals because of its volcanic origin that give more complexity to the wines. The vineyards are situated as high as 800 mt which helps give the wines great complexity and fine aromas, especially to white wines. The winemaking team is headed by the young, talented winemaker Dennis Verdecchia and experienced consultant Alberto Antonini that they have been working with at their wineries in Abruzzo and Campania.
